Tackling courses designed to challenge riders

Tackling courses designed to challenge riders navigationally, physically and technically, 37 athletes took part in the Mosquito Harescramble I race at the Schirmer Family Ranch on Aug. 20.
It was the second event of the season hosted by the Yukon鈥圕ross Country Motorcycle Association.
Event organizer Mike Beaman describes a harescramble as: 鈥渙ff-road motorcycle racing through single track and open trail.鈥
Each loop is designed to challenge riders of a certain ability with AA being the most challenging course, where finishing is a 鈥済reat accomplishment.鈥
