Former Olympian Alain Masson will be inducted into the Yukon Sport Hall of Fame at the Sport Yukon Awards Night next Thursday at the Westmark.

Sport Yukon made the announcement late this morning.

Masson, 52, is currently the Yukon's cross-country ski coach and "has provided unparallelled leadership in developing鈥 the sport, the release stated.

Following a distinguished career that included three Olympic appearances for Quebec as a skier and cyclist, Masson joined Cross Country Yukon as head coach and sport co-ordinator in 1996.
