Annual Summer Solstice Run goes tonight

Athletics Yukon's annual Summer Solstice Run up Grey Mountain goes tonight starting at 6 p.m.

Athletics Yukon's annual Summer Solstice Run up Grey Mountain goes tonight starting at 6 p.m.

Meet at the upper parking lot on Grey Mountain Road.

Run or walk up to the towers and back – approximately 12 kms round trip. There will also be a 5-km distance available.

Cost is $2 for Athletics Yukon members and $4 for non-members. Please come a few minutes early to register.

There will not be a Sportslife 5-km fun run this evening as it is replaced by the Summer Solstice Run.

Another solstice run on the schedule for Saturday is the Mayo Midnight Marathon.

The 18th annual event will begin at 8 p.m. in front of the community hall.

Mayo is located 410 km north of Whitehorse.
