Local figure skaters
Local figure skaters stepped on the ice for one of their two home competitions last weekend.
Skaters from a handful of clubs including hosts Arctic Edge Figure Skating Club, Inuvik Skating Club and Mile Zero Skating Club took part, donning their competition attire complete with glitter and sequins.
Friday night Special Olympics skaters Tijana McCarthy and Michael Sumner, who will be attending the Special Olympics World Winter Games next year skated their two solo competition routines in the elements and freeskate categories.
Saturday saw more skaters hit the ice, with many local representatives.
