Assante, Yukon Brewing top squash season standings

The season wrapped up last week with Assante topping Div. 1 standings, and Yukon Brewing leading Div. 2.
The top four teams in each division will square off this week in the semifinals, with the finals slated for the week following.
In Div. 1 action last Tuesday, Assante finished on a high note by topping Pizza Hut 21-12.
Chris Ziegler, Gabriel Stetkiewicz and Doug Thorseth each won their matches, while teammate Mark Tubman was edged 3-2 by Pizza Hut's Tyler Nesgaard.
In other action, Yukon Tree Services downed MEADIAsolutions 21-14 on the strength of wins by Ben Gelinas, Ian Ruitenberg and Kevin Daffe, while Grayson Peters was edged 3-2 by Kyle Marchuk.
Regular-season runner-up Outside the Cube toppled Ketza 20-12 thanks to strong games from Michael Tilbrook, Chris Toleman and Phil Jackson.
Final Div. 1 standings are Assante 317, Outside the Cube 307, Pizza Hut 288, Yukon Tree Services 273, Ketza 260, EBA 211, and MEADIAsolutions 210.
Meanwhile, in Div. 2 action last Thursday night, Yukon Brewing held on to their first-place record despite incurring a heavy loss 20-9 at the hands of league runner-up Sterling Insurance.
Jordy Walker, Shermaine Chua and Gary Tanner all picked up wins for Sterling, while Linda Aranda was the lone winner from Yukon Brewing's foursome.
Electrical Shop edged Gold Rush Inn 15-14, and Solstice Landscaping topped Underhill Geomatics 15-13 to round out regular season play.
Final Div. 2 standings are Yukon Brewing 297, Sterling Insurance 295, Solstice Landscaping 293, Electrical Shop 258, Gold Rush Inn 236, Underhill Geomatics 235, and Tony's Pizza 216.
