Blue Rodeo shook off the dust Wednesday night after a solid trouncing Tuesday to defeat Black Ice 2-1 in Whitehorse women's hockey action.

Coralie Ullyett and Lynsey Keaton each scored for Blue Rodeo and Karen Branigan replied for Black Ice.

In the only other women's game Wednesday, Cheryl Rivest scored twice and added an assist to lead the Gold Diggers to a solid 4-1 win over The Beasts.

Danielle Hodgson contributed a goal and two assists for the Gold Diggers and Cheri Malo had a goal and an assist.

Laura Grieve scored the only goal for the Beasts.

Goaltender Amy Gill shut the door on Blue Rodeo as Laura Grieve lit up the scoreboard with three goals, while teammate Joelle Hodgins marked up a pair. Sam Wilson and Chris Kirk added singles and Katherine MacKellar contributed a pair of assists.

Red Dragons 4, Black Ice 0

Danielle Hodgson dominated the offensive push with all four goals on assists by Meagan Bridge, Rosie Cobbett and Alison Martinson while Kris King recorded the shutout.

Saturday:

Red Dragons 5, Blue Rodeo 1

Nicole Petersen played a hand in each of the Dragons goals, scoring once herself and assisting on the single markers by Danielle Hodgson, Julie Menard, Rosie Cobbett and Lael Lund. Hodgson also had two assists.

Coralie Ullyett scored the only marker for Blue Rodeo, on assists from Stephanie Hedley and Emma Ullyett.

Whitesnake 7, Gold Diggers 1

A well-rounded team effort saw six different players add to the Whitesnake tally, with Kylie Bird leading the way on two goals and three assists.

Kim Schlosser, Danielle Hodgson, Lindy-Jo Aston, Rosie Cobbett and Stacie Zaychuk scored singles for Whitesnake while Alyssa Beckett recorded three assists and Schlosser added two assists to her single marker.

Haley Tomlin scored the only goal for the Gold Diggers, on an assist from Cheri Malo.
