Boorse hat trick keeps Klondyke Dental in the hunt

The win helped pull Klondyke into a tie with Performance Centre for fourth in Whitehorse Oldtimer Hockey League standings with 43 points each.
The two teams continue to jockey with third-place Medicine Chest for playoff seeding. At present, third place to fifth are too close to call with the playoffs set to begin on Sunday.
Performance Centre will face Medicine Chest on Wednesday, and Klondyke Dental will square off with second-place Kilrich on Thursday to determine the final playoff seedings.
Ed VanRanden also sniped a pair for the Molars in yesterday's battle, while Kevin Neufeld rounded out the scoring. Dennis Zimmerman added three assists in the win.
Daniel Janke and Mike Blower responded for the Turbos.
Kilrich 8, Tim Hortons 3
Steve Smith scored a hat trick and added an assist as Kilrich pounded Tim Hortons 8-3.
Peter Grundmanus, Bruce Williams, Elgin Schwantz, Mike Knutson and Rick Gingell also scored for Kilrich, while Walt Liley had four assists.
Peter Johnston and Blayne Monahan each scored a goal and an assist for Tim Hortons in the loss. Bruce Milligan added a single for the eighth-place club.
Medicine Chest 7, Firth Rangers 7
Not to be outdone, Tony Clennett netted a hat trick for Medicine Chest, who tied the seventh-place Firth Rangers.
Ron Servatius scored a pair and added two assists, while Ron Billingsley and Mike Jim rounded out the scoring for Medicine Chest.
Dave White helped out with three assists, while Steve Arrell and Erik von Flotow each had a pair.
Greg Charlie led the way for the Rangers with five points, including two goals. Jeff Jenson added a pair of his own, alongside two assists, while Jason Cunning scored twice with one assist.
Brian McWatters rounded out the scoring with a single, while John Sembsmoen had three assists.
Yukon Inn 7, AON Flames 1
In a battle of first versus last, the Yukon Inn extinguished the Flames with a 7-1 win.
Rick Blaker had two goals and two assists in the win, while Gord Campbell added a pair of goals and an assist. Chad Cowan and Bernie Heffner also had a goal and assist.
Lawrence Ignace rounded out the scoring, while both Shawn McLeod and Gary MacKellar each had a pair of helpers.
Shawn Kinsela had the lone goal for the Flames.
