Gord Campbell’s three-point night put his team squarely in second place in the Whitehorse Oldtimer Hockey League.

The speedy forward scored twice and added an assist Sunday as the Klondyke Dental Molars downed the Firth Rangers 4-1 at Takhini Arena.

The win, combined with Air North’s 4-3 loss to EDI, pushed the Molars into second place with 35 points, one up on the Air North Jets.

Mike Knutson and Mike Jim also scored for Klondyke Dental, with Bruce Demchuk sniping the lone tally for Firth.

In other action Sunday, Bob Allison scored the winning goal for EDI as they skated past the Jets.

Chris Simons and Pat Tobler each had a goal and assist in the win, with Ed Van Randen rounding out the scoring.

Gerry Rivest (2) and Bernie Adilman responded for Air North.

Meanwhile, first-place Kilrich appears to have suffered no ill effects from their first loss of the season last Sunday.

The powerhouse team rapped off two straight wins this week, the latest coming at the hands of Yukon Inn by a score of 4-2.

Kerry Pettitt and Brian Currie each scored twice for Kilrich, with league-leading scorer Adam Green and Bruce Williams responding for Yukon Inn.

Yesterday’s other contest saw the AON Flames nip Medicine Chest 5-3 thanks to a two-goal performance by Mike Gau.

League standings are as follows:

Kilrich 25-1-3 (53)

Klondyke Dental 16-10-3 (35)

Air North 15-10-4 (34)

Firth 12-15-2 (26)

EDI 10-15-4 (24)

Yukon Inn 9-16-4 (22)

Medicine Chest 10-18-1 (21)

AON 7-19-3 (17)
