The Whitehorse Co-Ed Softball League put a wrap on its season this weekend with the league championships.
The Whitehorse Co-Ed Softball League put a wrap on its season this weekend with the league championships.
The playoffs began for the four divisions on July 23 and each of the medal games were hosted at the Pepsi Complex this past Saturday.
The tournament kicked off at 9 a.m. with the Division Four final between the Adult Temptations Shockers and the KK Mutts.
The Mutts were hoping for a repeat of the mid-season tournament, where they defeated the Riverdale Super ‘A' Jays 16-6 in the division final.
Unfortunately for the Mutts, the Shockers offence proved to be too much, winning 15-14.
The Bounty Hunters placed third overall.
After a cold start to the morning, the weather cleared up for the Division Three final, that pitted the Kustom Kuts Wild against the Sportslife Ravens.
The Ravens were also carrying the mid-season title into the final, after they defeated Sandors Shredders 18-6 in the May tournament.
The Ravens were able to solidify their place on top of the division by overpowering the Wild en route to a 20-11 win.
In the top division, play wrapped up with an anti-climatic final.
After defeating Whitehorse Dental to reach the gold medal game, Complete Concrete was unable to field enough players and were forced to forfeit the final.
The Ridge Pub was given the gold while Whitehorse Dental won bronze.
Ridge Pub also took home the gold earlier in the year when they defeated Wintemute Electric, 14,-12, in the mid-season divisional tournament.
Things were more exciting in the Division Two final, which saw the Fountain Tire Mudders take on Coke.
The Mudders were able to stay on top of their bats and battled with Coke in a high scoring game, ultimately winning the gold, 18-13.
Dave's Cleaning Crew defeated Meadia Solutions for the bronze.
The tournament brings the season to a close for each of the divisions.
