EDI鈥檚 Johnson remains best goalie in league

Third-place EDI battled to a 3-3 draw with the AON Flames in Oldtimer Hockey action at Takhini Arena Thursday night.

Third-place EDI battled to a 3-3 draw with the AON Flames in Oldtimer Hockey action at Takhini Arena Thursday night.

George Skookum logged two goals, while Brian Currie had one for EDI.

Chad Cowan scored twice for AON, while Dave White had one.

Kevin Johnstone, who is second in the league for scoring with 38 goals, 27 assists and 65 points was absent from the ice.

EDI鈥檚 goalie, Eugene Johnson remains the best in the league, with a 3.35 GAA.

In the early game, Tim Hortons beat Kilrich 2-1.

Jeff O鈥橣arrell and Jason Cunning scored for Tim Hortons, while Kilrich鈥檚 lone goal came from Rick Seaman.

Three game nights remain before the annual Oldtimer hockey tournament, running from March 3 to 5.

Eight game nights remain before the playoffs begin on March 22.
