The following trail report was released by the Whitehorse Nordic Centre yesterday:

All this fresh snow is great news for cross-country skiers.

Our groomers will be very busy today and tonight trying to tame the new snow. Skiing should be excellent in no time.

Dog, Copper and Selwyn's loop were groomed early Thursday morning and will have some snow in the tracks.

Our groomers will continue grooming trails throughout the day. Looking ahead to the weekend, it should provide excellent conditions for both classic and skate skiing.

Snowshoeing is a great way to explore our network of single-track trails at the Whitehorse Nordic Centre. Stop in at the Ski Base for a map and a route recommendation from our staff.

A reminder for skiers using the Dog Trail and starting from the dog parking lot – day passes or season memberships are required to use the trails.

Day passes and ‘Try our Trails' packages are available at the Ski Base. Sign up for a membership online and save $5.

Wax Suggestions: Grip wax for today is Rode Super Blue. If more grip is needed, use Super Extra Blue. For greater grip in this fresh snow, try extending the wax pocket forward by 10 cm.
