Whitehorse native Jackie Harrison booted two goals and added an assist to lead the University of Victoria women's soccer team to a 5-1 win over the Regina Cougars in their Canada West quarter-final matchup Friday night.

Harrison, a fifth-year midfielder with the Vikes, is also the team's captain and leading scorer.

The Vikes are undefeated at Centennial Stadium this season and will host the Conference Final Four this weekend with hopes of securing a berth in the CIS national championship.

Last year, the club won bronze at nationals. Harrison was named a Canada West all-star.

The Vikes outshot the Cougars 22-5 in Friday's game.

Harrison scored on a penalty shot in the 37th minute to put the Vikes up 2-0 and added another in the 84th minute to put the game out of reach.

Harrison's touch on a free kick early in the 74th minute also set up Cassie Dennis for her first of two on the night, as she headed it home.

"We are definitely proud of ourselves,鈥 Harrison said post-game. "We had a few early losses in the season and we were able to have a turning point after the Alberta game. Now we are hosting and this is a great springboard into the Final Four.鈥

Whitehorse native Megan Lanigan is also a member of the Vikes.

The freshman served as a redshirt this season.
