Janzen, Freake power Turbos in oldtimer hockey action

In oldtimer action at Takhini Arena Sunday, Doug Janzen scored twice and added an assist, and Jason Freake scored a pair of his own to lead the Performance Centre Turbos over Kilrich 7-5.

In oldtimer action at Takhini Arena Sunday, Doug Janzen scored twice and added an assist, and Jason Freake scored a pair of his own to lead the Performance Centre Turbos over Kilrich 7-5.

Daryl Berube, Kelly Collins and Briar Young also scored in the win, while Alain Pelletier picked up a pair of helpers.

Kilrich's Walt Liley and Elgin Schwantz each had a goal and an assist in the loss.

Bruce Williams, Doug Harris and Brian Gudmundson scored the others.

Yukon Inn 7, Klondyke Dental Molars 3

Sean McLeish scored a hat trick, and Gord Campbell had a goal and three assists to lead Yukon Inn over the Klondyke Dental Molars 7-3.

Rick Blaker also scored twice, Chad Cowan had a goal and two assists, and Pat Tobler had two assists in the offensive showcase.

Charles Brodhagen scored twice and Brian Boorse had two assists for the Molars. Gerry Rivest also scored.

Firth Rangers 6, AON Flames 3

Greg Charlie led the way for the Rangers, scoring twice and adding an assist in a 6-3 win over the AON Flames.

Gary Van Tell and Tom Guy both picked up a goal and an assist in the win, while Rick Seaman and Ted Hupe added singles.

Mike Rispin had three assists, while Al Foster added two.

Alfred Feldman led the Flames with a pair of goals, while Al Koehl had two assists. Mike Muller also scored in the loss.

Air North Jets 5, Medicine Chest 1

Pat Campbell scored a hat trick and had an assist, and Glen Heinbigner had three assists as Air North bested Medicine Chest 5-1.

Stu MacKay scored and picked up an assist, while Ron Cruikshank rounded out the scoring. Rob Thompson also had two assists.

Blaine Demchuk was the lone scorer for Medicine Chest.
