Kormandy's two goals propel Midget B Mustangs to first win

Kadin Kormandy scored a pair of goals to lead the Midget B Mustangs past the Kwanlin Kanucks 5-2 in C division rec hockey action at the Canada Games Centre last night.

Kadin Kormandy scored a pair of goals to lead the Midget B Mustangs past the Kwanlin Kanucks 5-2 in C division rec hockey action at the Canada Games Centre last night.

Tyson Hope, Lane Davignon and Karter Kazakoff also scored in the win – the Mustangs' first of the year. Malachi Lavalee picked up two assists.

Glenn Skookum and Tyson Hawkins provided the scoring for the Kanucks.

Air North 10, Murphy Built 1

In A division play, Kane Daw scored twice and added five assists as Air North walloped SLFS/Murphy Built 10-1 at the Canada Games Centre last night.

Tanner Kulych, Adam Sills and Colin Dendys each picked up a pair of goals in the win, while Robbie Stuckey and Brad Holm added singles.

Kaleb Dawe picked up three assists on the night, while Ryan Kinney and Mike Fraser each had two.

Shawn Whellan was the lone scorer for the losing squad.

Medicine Chest 6, AON Flames 3

In oldtimer action, Ron Billingsley scored a hat trick, and his teammates did the rest as Medicine Chest doused the AON Flames 6-3 at Takhini Arena last night.

Chris Simon and Mark Suominen each had a goal and an assist, and Dave White's goal rounded out the scoring for Medicine Chest.

Guy Morgan chipped in three assists.

Adam Green, Grant Lyon and Al Koehl replied for the Flames.

Air North 4, Klondyke Dental Molars 2

Stu MacKay and Glen Heinbigner each scored a goal and had an assist in Air North's 4-2 win over the Klondyke Dental Molars.

Pat Campbell and Ron Daub also scored in the win, while Bill Bohmer picked up two helpers.

Charles Brodhagen scored both markers for the Molars in a losing cause.

Team Blue 2, Team Black 1

In women's action, Candice MacEachen had a goal and picked up an assist on

Jennifer King's goal to lead Team Blue over Team Black 2-1 Wednesday at the Canada Games Centre.

Jonnie-Lyn Kushniruk scored for the losing squad.

Team Red 1, Team Gold 0

Catherine Bouchard's goal was all Team Red needed to beat Team Gold 1-0.
