Larkin's two goals spark major turnaround for young club

Austin Larkin scored twice – once from his own crease – and Jacobs Industries went on to beat Mic Mac Toyota 3-1 in Under-9 Minor Soccer action last night at the Canada Games Centre.
Cameron Lindstrom also scored in the win, which marked a major turnaround for the young squad that had dropped their last matchup with Mic Mac Toyota by a score of 13-0.
Iva Johnston had the lone goal for Mic Mac Toyota in the loss.
In other U-9 games this month, Josh Willoughby scored twice to lead Salé Salvage to a 2-1 victory over Eagle Construction Nov. 4. Megan Roche picked up player of the game honours for the winning side, while Arthur Sanlauren's goal earned him player of the game honours for Eagle Construction.
Meanwhile, Sportslife and Epic Pizza played to a 4-4 draw, with Sportslife sniper Seamus O'Brien scoring two goals to match a pair from Zac Saplywy.
Also scoring for Sportslife were Chayce Tuton and Trisha Gayangos, while Jennifer Tuton won player of the game honours. Rounding out the scoring for Epic Pizza were Daniel Clyde and Ian Paton, while Lochlan Paton was named player of the game.
On Nov. 6, Sportslife played to another 4-4 draw, this time against Salé Salvage, with Chayce Tuton and O'Brien powering the offence once again.
Zac Willoughby, Daniel Tonner (2) and Charlie Gill replied for Salé, with Sportslife's Kayne Morgan and Hayden Fenn picking up respective player of the game honours.
Also that night, Epic Pizza defeated Mic Mac Toyota by a score of 7-1.
Brynn Sturdy-Amos led the way with a hat trick, while Luca Squires scored the lone goal for Mic Mac in the lopsided loss.
Epic Pizza's Zach Saplywy and Michael Gwynne-Thompson took home player of the game honours.
