CARMACKS – The last team left Carmacks at 4:02 this morning.

There are 50 teams left in the race and there have been a dozen scratches as of now.

The top two teams have arrived at Kirkman Creek (before 7 a.m.), and are waiting on official checkpoint times there.

These remote checkpoints have their data sent by satellite phone about every hour, so it can take longer for those times to get recorded.

With the first teams getting to Kirkman, it means that they have slowed a bit.

The first finishers will probably not get to Dawson until late this afternoon.
