Logan Roots leads pack in Solstice run

Logan Roots was the big winner in the Grey Mountain Summer Solstice Run/Walk held Tuesday night.

Logan Roots was the big winner in the Grey Mountain Summer Solstice Run/Walk held Tuesday night.

The 19-year-old long distance runner completed the 10.4-km run in 45:39, edging his training partner Logan Boehmer and track 麻豆社区Kieran Halliday, who tied for second in 52:16.

Tom Ullyett (54:09) and Tedd Tucker (56:40) also finished in less than an hour.

The run, organized by Athletics Yukon, saw athletes run or walk from the upper Grey Mountain parking lot to the towers and back.

Lauren Whyte was tops among women, with a time of 54:19. Kealy Sweet was second, finishing in 56:40.
