Four second period goals helped last-place Medicine Chest topple top-ranked Kilrich 6-5 in oldtimer hockey action last night.

Down 5-2 early in the second, Medicine Chest stormed back on goals by Blaine Demchuk, Ron Billingsley and Tony Park. Demchuk struck again with 2:03 left in the contest to complete the comeback.

Gord Peterson and Jim Giczi had Medicine Chest's earlier tallies.

Scoring for Kilrich were Elgin Schwantz, Peter Grundmanis (2), Walt Liley, and Mike Knutson. Liley also picked up two assists.

With the win, Medicine Chest improves to 4-9-3 on the year, while Kilrich drops to 13-4.

In other action Sunday:

Klondyke Dental Molars 8, AON Flames 2

Brian Boorse scored four times and had an assist en route to a 8-2 win for the Klondyke Dental Molars.

Paul Moore added a hat trick, while Charles Broadhagen rounded out the scoring.

Alfred Feldman and Nathan Bingham replied for AON.

With the win, Klondyke Dental improves to 6-9-2 on the year, while AON drops to 5-10-2.

Performance Centre Turbos 5, Firth Rangers 3

Mike Blower and Andy McLeod each scored once and had two assists as the Turbos downed the Rangers.

Briar Young added a goal and assist, while Murray Arsenault and Frank Thomas also scored.

Mike Rispin had a goal and two assists for the Rangers, while Derek Kindervater and Mike Gau chipped in singles.

Performance Centre improved to 8-6-4 with the win, while Firth dropped to 6-7-3.

Air North 6, Tim Hortons 5

Guy Gorrell and Bill Bohmer each scored twice as Air North edged Tim Hortons.

Both Pat Campbell and Glen Heinbigner added a goal and assist, while each of

Joel Witten and Matt Sills had a pair of helpers.

Brent Stokes and Ron Limoges responded with a goal and assist a piece for Tim Hortons, while Phil Borgel, Peter Johnston and Doug Terry added singles. Blayne Monahan chipped in two assists.

Air North improved to 6-9-1 with the win, while Tim Hortons dropped to 7-7-3.

In action Thursday night:

Tim Hortons 9, AON Flames 1

Blayne Monahan had two goals and an assist, and Phil Borgel chipped in a pair of his own as Tim Hortons lit up the Flames.

Brent Stokes and Ron Limoges each added a goal and assist, while Bruce Milligan, Morley Lessard, and Doug Terry also scored. Blueliner Chuck Tobin had three assists.

Nathan Bingham scored the lone goal for AON.

Kilrich 3, Klondyke Dental Molars 2

Peter Grundmanis' hat trick would be all Kilrich needed to beat Klondyke Dental.

Paul Moore had a goal and assisted on Brian Boorse's tally for the Molars.

In action Wednesday night:

Yukon Inn 10, Air North 1

Chad Cowan and Lawrence Ignace both scored hat tricks alongside an assist, and Gord Campbell had two goals and three assists as Yukon Inn pounded Air North.

Gary McLeary and Bernie Heffner both scored and had an assist to round out the scoring.

Glen Heinbigner had Air North's only goal.

Medicine Chest 3, Performance Centre Turbos 3

Gord Peterson had a goal and assist, and Jim Giczi and Tony Park added singles as Medicine Chest battled to a draw with Performance Centre.

Daryl Berube, Mike Blower and Daniel Janke responded for the Turbos, while Alain Pelletier had two assists.

NOTES: Firth Rangers' Mike Rispin leads the league in scoring with 35 points (16-19). Tim Hortons' Blayne Monahan is second with 34 (18-16), while Kilrich's Walt Liley and Yukon Inn's Gord Campbell are tied for third with 33 points each.
