Ryan MacDonald's goal with 3:25 left in the second period broke a 2-2 tie and propelled the Mustangs (5-14-0) to their fifth win of the season.
Patrice Brunet and Andy Connors had staked the Muckers (10-11-2) to a 2-0 lead in the first period, but goals by Levi Johnson and Sam Logan tied the game and set up MacDonald's heroics.
The game saw the Mustangs bounce back from a lopsided loss on Saturday that saw Yukon Brewing's Ryan Martin, Rob Warner and Derek Klassen collect six points each.
In other Rec A Division action at Canada Games Centre last night, SLFS-Murphy Built downed Southpaw Rednex 5-3.
Matt Dickson, Steve Israel, Dave Schroeder, Justin Quigley and Chris Evans powered the offence for SLFS-Murphy Built (14-7-0).
Aren Coates, Spencer Tomlin and Wyatt Drift responded for Southpaw Rednex (9-11-2) in the loss.
NOTES:鈥圠eague-leading Air North's dream of a perfect season is over. The club (19-3-0) lost three games over the holiday break.
