Riley Pettitt scored his first goal of the British Columbia Major Midget League season Sunday against the South Island Royals in Victoria, B.C.

However, Pettitt was the only Prince George Cariboo Cougars player able to find the net in a 4-1 loss.

Pettitt, a Whitehorse native, has one goal and two assists in 12 games for the Cougars, who are 6-7-1 this season.

Pettitt also has 30 penalty minutes, good for second on the team.

Fellow Whitehorse native Kole Comin has scored one goal in 14 games, alongside 12 PIM. Comin's goal was the eventual game-winner in the Cougars' first game of the season.
