Quest seeking new faces for Yukon board

The Yukon AGM will be held at the Whitehorse Library, in the ground floor meeting room at 7 p.m. Open to the public, this is your chance to hear about last year's race, and ask any questions you might have of the Yukon Board of Directors, says a Quest press release.
If you are a member, you will be given a ballot to vote for our new board of directors.
The Quest is seeking six new directors for the Yukon board. If you're interested in making a difference, helping an iconic event and supporting race staff, contact the Whitehorse office at 668-4711 for more details.
Applications are available at the Yukon Quest office in the White Pass Building.
The 2014 Yukon Quest will begin Saturday, Feb. 1 in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Allen Moore won the 30th running of the Yukon Quest, beating defending champ Hugh Neff into Fairbanks by one hour, 16 minutes on Feb. 11. Moore, of Two Rivers, Alaska, took home $18,930 of the race's $100,000 purse.
Often described as the most difficult sled dog race in the world, the Quest has been a Yukon-Alaska tradition since 1984.
