Leading point-getter Charles Brodhagen scored the first one, and then his teammates took over as the Firth Rangers dismantled Kilrich 7-1 in Whitehorse Oldtimer Hockey League action Sunday night at Takhini Arena.

Brodhagen's 16th goal of the season boosted his points total to 24 on the season, five up on AON Flames centre Stu Mackay.

But then it was Brent Stokes, Ron Billingsley, Rick Moses, Joel Witten, Guy Gorrell and Glen Heinbigner who found the back of the net for the Rangers.

Doug Harris scored the lone goal for Kilrich in the loss.

With the win, the Rangers improved their record to 4-5-2 on the season, while Kilrich fell to 6-4-1.

Six other teams were also in action Sunday night.

The league-leading AON Flames scorched third-ranked Yukon Inn 7-1.

Mike Rispin led the way with a hat trick while Mackay scored twice and added one assist.

Bob Allison and Terry Berquist also scored for the Flames while Bernie Adilman sniped the lone marker for Yukon Inn.

The Flames improve to 8-2-1 on the year, while Yukon Inn dropped to 7-3.

Meanwhile, Jeff Jensen's last-second shorthanded goal helped the seventh-place Klondyke Dental Molars edge the Air North Jets 6-5.

The last-place Jets had scored three second-period goals to tie the game up before Jensen's heroics.

Klondyke Dental stormed out to a 4-0 lead thanks to goals by Daniel Janke, Mike Gau, Brian Gudmundson and Trevor Hale. Mike Knutson would add a second-period marker.

But the Jets showed resilience and battled back with three goals by Mike Jim and a pair from Marty O'Hagan.

In the night's final matchup, fifth-place Tim Hortons edged eighth-ranked Medicine Chest 3-2.

Grant Lyon, Peter Johnson and Darrel Sturko scored for Tim Hortons in the win, while Bill Bohmer and Dennis Zimmerman responded for Medicine Chest in the loss.

Second-place EDI had a bye this weekend and did not play.

The league returns to action tomorrow night at Takhini Arena.
