Run Wild, an annual family-fun event to raise funds for wildlife research, rehabilitation and education at the Yukon Wildlife Preserve, will be held on Discovery Day.

The wildlife preserve features 10 species of northern Canadian mammals in their natural environment.

Interested walkers and runners are invited to bring their family and friends to take on the wildlife preserve's five-kilometre loop.

There will be door prizes and plenty of fun to be had.

The race starts at 10:30 a.m. on Monday with registration scheduled for 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.

Cost is $12 for seniors, $15 for adults, $10 for youth, and $7 for children, and free for all those five and under.

Donations are always welcome.

The family-fun event is sanctioned by Athletics Yukon.
