Snowstorms have hit most of Canada recently and along with the white stuff come thoughts of downhill skiing and snowboarding.

Grade 4 and 5 students (born in 2003 or 2004) across the country are eligible for the SnowPass program through the Canadian Ski鈥圕ouncil, which includes three lift tickets at each of the 150 participating ski areas across Canada.

Applications for the program can be made via http://www.snowpass.com.

To register, just upload your child's picture and proof of age, choose your delivery option, method of payment, and your child's SnowPass will be mailed directly to your home in days.

Whitehorse's Mount Sima, opening Dec. 20, is a participating member of the program.

Cost for a SnowPass is $29.95, including taxes.
