Both Yukon Strikers squads at the U-14 Cup bounced back from tough opening games at the 2013 National Club Championships in Lethbridge, Alta.

The boys team was beaten 18-0 by the second-ranked Alberta Foothills club in their first game of the tournament yesterday, but bounced back against the P.E.I. Eastern Eagles this afternoon.

While the Strikers did lose their second game in a row, this time it was by a much slimmer margin of 4-2.

Morgan Ramsay and Robert Smallwood scored the first goals of the tournament for the boys club.

Meanwhile, the girls squad rebounded from yesterday's 13-0 loss to second-ranked Nova Scotia with a much tighter game versus Saskatchewan's Aurora Concordes this morning.

The girls dropped today's game by a respectable score of 4-1, with Tyra Jones finding the back of the net for the Strikers.
