Special Olympics Yukon executive director Serge Michaud was honoured
SURPRISE HONOUR – Special Olympics Yukon executive director Serge Michaud was honoured with a Queen's Jubilee Medal last night at the organization's annual Christmas party, held at the Fireside Room of the Yukon Inn. Commissioner Doug Phillips' announcement came as a surprise to Michaud, who was overcome with tears. At back, from left are: Staff Sgt. Major Alan Hubley, Commissioner Doug Phillips, Serge Michaud, his fiancée Tanya MacKenzie, Gaetan Michaud, and Captain Carol Winter. In front are MacKenzie's two boys – Kaelen Basnett, age five, and Eban Basnett, eight.

Congratulations to a wonderful family. I would say it is something the family is all very proud of.
