Despite five nominated projects, the Yukon was unable to crack the top-10 communities in this year鈥檚 Kraft Celebration Tour contest.

On July 1, TSN and Kraft Canada announced the top-10 winning communities in a contest intended to help Canadians build better places to play.

Each of the top-10 communities receives $25,000 and a chance to take home $100,000 as the overall winner.

All winners will also host a live TSN鈥坆roadcast in their community next month.

Each of Canada鈥檚 10 provinces had a winning selection in 2014.

鈥淲e鈥檙e inspired by each of these top-10 communities and how they demonstrate their passion and commitment to building better places to play,鈥 said Jack Hewitt, vice-president of consumer insights and portfolio marketing for Kraft Canada.

鈥淲e鈥檙e very proud to partner with them to create Kraft Celebration Tour legacies that will live on forever.鈥

The Yukon鈥檚 nominations included pitches for Mount Sima鈥檚 Outdoor Adventure Park, the Yukon freestyle ski team, a multi-use indoor space in鈥圖awson City, bike trail expansion on Montana Mountain in Carcross, and an outdoor ice rink for the Hootalinqua Community Centre.
