The Ridge off to hot start in broomball

The Ridge bested P&M鈥圧ecycling 2-1 last night to claim top spot in the standings early in the new Yukon Broomball Association season.

The Ridge bested P&M鈥圧ecycling 2-1 last night to claim top spot in the standings early in the new Yukon Broomball Association season.

The Ridge improved to 2-0 with the win, tops among the nine Whitehorse teams.

Geordo Matechuk and Terry Joss provided all of the offence in the win, with each picking up a goal and an assist.

Dan Anton had the lone goal for P&M鈥圧ecycling.

The Ridge beat Capital Towing 4-1 Sunday to claim their first win, led by Creed Swan's two goals and one assist.

Matechuk and Dan Rouleau also scored in the win, while Francois Lafortune responded for P&M鈥圧ecycling.

The Dental Donkeys are currently second at 1-0-1 while the Spectrum Security Bears are 1-0 to claim third.
