The last of the minor soccer titles were claimed last weekend, as U-13 and U-15 teams from across the territory squared off for their respective Yukon crowns.
Games were held at F.H. Collins and Elijah Smith school fields.
In what turned into an epic U-15 final, Total Soccer Consulting emerged on top by winning a 3-2 game in penalty kicks over Dirkbuilt Contracting.
The win was redemption for a rough season, said Total Soccer coach Derek Parker.
"We had a pretty rough season, losing most of our games, but things fell into place in the weekend tournament where we were undefeated in five games,鈥 he told the Star. "We focused first on defense and second on offensive strikes.鈥
The final game saw Total Soccer come back to tie the game twice in order to force overtime.
The game then went to penalty kicks, and both keepers Total Soccer's Matthew Ng and Dirkbuilt's Griffin Schroff were brilliant.
Still tied after five shooters, it was Michael Kischuk who emerged the hero, sniping a well-placed shot into the corner of the net.
Malcolm Muir and Malorie Hanson scored the goals to force overtime, while Logan Harris and Tyler Milton had staked Dirkbuilt to their pair of one-goal leads.
Yukon Pump won bronze in the four-team league, with a 5-2 win over Take 5 Massage.
When the dust settled on the U-13 season, it was Adorna Landscaping who claimed gold, beating a Dawson City club, Ryan-Wood Exploration, 5-0.
Goals were scored by Daniel Kim (2), Ethan Vanderkley, Jamie Phillips-Freedman and Aaron Rich. Keeper Logan Kruse picked up the clean sheet.
Envirolube took home bronze, winning a squeaker 4-3 over All Terrane Exploration.
