Two teams grab early Div. 1 squash lead

Two teams have vaulted to the top of the Squash Yukon Division 1 League early in the season.

Two teams have vaulted to the top of the Squash Yukon Division 1 League early in the season.

Outside the Cube (OTC) and Yukon Tree Services are tied for first with 40 points after two weeks of action.

On Tuesday night, OTC defeated Solstice Landscaping 19-13, while Yukon Tree Services defeated TSL Contractors Ltd. 19-12.

Michael Tilbrook (3-2), Chris Toleman (3-1) and Blaine Tessier (3-1) all won their matchups, while Kealan Campbell shut out Taylor Love 3-0 for Solstice's only win.

Meanwhile, Jim Gilpin (3-2), Jane Bell (3-1), and Ben Gelinas (3-0) took home wins for Yukon Tree Services. Cam Webber beat Grayson Peters 3-0 for TSL's lone win.

In other action, EBA Engineering beat Dynamic Systems 21-14 to claim third place in the early standings.

Div. 2 squash league action returns to the Better Bodies Fitness squash courts tonight.
