Tytus Hardy shuts out high-flying Jets

Narrow Gauge rode the hot goaltending of Tytus Hardy to a 5-0 win over the league-leading Air North Jets last night at the Canada Games Centre.

Narrow Gauge rode the hot goaltending of Tytus Hardy to a 5-0 win over the league-leading Air North Jets last night at the Canada Games Centre.

Hardy's shutout helped seal the win for Narrow Gauge, who were tied for ninth in the A Division of the Whitehorse Rec Hockey League before last night's action.

Dan MacDonald scored twice and added an assist in the win, while Scott MacDonald had a goal and an assist.

Phil Mullin and Fletcher DeGraff chipped in singles, while Graeme Carruthers had four assists in the contest.

In other action last night, David Schroeder and Justin Quigley each had four points as fourth-place SLFS/Murphy Built downed the ninth-place KBL鈥圗nvironmental Midget Mustangs 6-2.

Schroeder and Quigley each had a goal and three assists in the win, while Chris Evans scored twice and had one helper.

Matt Dickson and Andrew Grantham had the other goals for SLFS/Murphy Built, while Shawn Whellan chipped in three assists.

Levi Johnson and Kaleb Millwater responded for the Mustangs in the loss.

NOTES:鈥圦uigley leads the league in scoring with 77 points (37 G, 40 A) in 23 games. Yukon Brewing's Derek Klassen (40 G, 31 A) is six points off the pace.
