UPHILL CLIMB – A Peel Climb-A-Thon held in a Porter Creek home Saturday helped raise $2,375 to support Peel Watershed lawsuits this summer. Sam Lee, front, and Jesse Bloor were two members of the Yukon youth climbing team who spent the day climbing a 22-foot indoor rock wall in an attempt to protect the Peel. In January, the Yukon government opened 71 per cent of the watershed to staking, drawing the ire of some First Nations and citizen groups.
