JR Valencia led Sunlife with a 27-point night on top of collecting 17 rebounds. Teammate Kenneth Valdez rallied for 18 points, as Sunlife moves its record to one win and seven losses.
The Pilinians, on the other hand, are sitting on top of the league with six wins and two losses.
In other action Sunday, Tam-Tam Magsucang scored 32 points and Bryan Hermosa had 18 along with 17 rebounds to lead Sirius Security to an 83-76 victory over Iceberg. Hazel Cacatian netted 17 points and 14 rebounds for Iceberg while Marvin De Leon recorded 15 points.
On Saturday, KFC upset Viernes Janitorial 77-64 on the strength of a 21-point night with 13 rebounds by Aron Diaz along with 20 points off the hands of Wren Agapito.
Christian Carino scored 21 points for Viernes Janitorial.
In the only other game Saturday, EJ New slammed home 24 points and recorded 10 rebounds to lead Gray Management Services to a 91-80 victory over Sunlife, to move into a two-way tie for first in the standings.
Ian New contributed 21 points for Gray Management.
Kenneth Valdez had a 20-point night for Sunlife and Jun Valdez scored 20.
Gray Management and the Pilinians are tied in first place, each with six wins and two losses.
