Youngsters swim, bike, run

More than 100 young athletes challenged their skills and endurance Sunday during the second annual Whitehorse Kids' Triathlon.

More than 100 young athletes challenged their skills and endurance Sunday during the second annual Whitehorse Kids' Triathlon.

The event was held at the Canada Games Centre and Whitehorse Cross Country Ski Club stadium and trails.

The non-competitive event is put on to introduce children aged five to 14 to the fun of triathlon and fair play.

Each athlete received a medal, T-shirt and nutritious meal, before going home happy.

The event was hosted by City of Whitehorse staff.
