The Sovereign Lakes Nordic Club was the second stop on this season's NorAm circuit and again Yukon skiers showed good form.

The two race series kicked off on Saturday with a mass start classic technique race – 15 km for the men and 10 km for the women.

The men's race was won by Swede Jens Eriksson in a quick 41:53. Top-10 results were posted by David Greer in sixth place, just 54 seconds back, and Graham Nishikawa, 1:32 off the pace.

On the women's side, Brittany Webster took the top step of the podium, while a strong performance by Dahria Beatty had her finishing 41 seconds back, good for fourth place overall and a silver medal in the junior women's category. Emily Nishikawa finished fifth overall.

On Sunday, the athletes put on their skate skis for an individual start race, again 15 km for the men and 10 km for the women.

The Nishikawa siblings found their stride and added a pair of golds to the family trophy room, showing that they are ready for next weekend's World Cup races in Canmore, Alta.

David Greer flashed his World Cup form, finishing just 40 seconds back of Graham Nishikawa, adding a bronze medal to his already great season.

Both Nishikawas, as well as Greer and Beatty, will be competing at the World Cup races in Canmore, starting Thursday.
